KickStart Nantwich - Magpie Gifts

Magpie Gifts has a long history in Nantwich with over 23 years of it's life being owned by Mark & Catherine Robinson.

They purchased the Nantwich shop from the previous owner after a few years of running their own shop The Real Thing in Sandbach.

The quaint low-ceiling old shop is next to the Vine Pub on Hospital Street in Nantwich and you are always assured of a warm welcome.

Daughter Josie is often at the Nantwich branch and the whole family have a great eye for helping their customers.

Brands include Hot Diamonds, Clogau Gold, Fiorelli silver, Kit Heath, Radley watches

Liz Parkin lives in Nantwich, a floral market town in Cheshire and her first choice wherever possible is to buy gifts, clothes, home ware and food from the diverse range of local independent traders.

Trying to keep the household food-miles down, Liz tries to source as much as possible from local farmers and food producers, even dabbling in her own small veggie patch and two laying ducks called Doris and Daphne.

The podcast is featured on a Facebook group called Local not Global and on the whole, most contributors are within 30 miles of Nantwich.

Formerly known as RedShift Radio, the online community radio station and podcast network closed during lockdown and Buddies ramped up their support of the community.
